The main commercial district in Fairview is located along Anderson Avenue, where residents enjoy the many restaurants, as well as several coffee houses, delicatessens and banks. For additional shopping, New York City is a short distance away, there is a large mall at Newport Center in Jersey City, many outlet stores in Secaucus and various strip malls located along both sides of Routes 1 and 9 just to the west of Fairview.
